    if you want this to happen after every print you could add it to the macros but I think the macro for end of print is shared by the cancel button so it might eject when you cancel as well.

    Heating from ambient to eject is typically less than 1 min. What advantage is there to having this happen after a print?

    It is a consumable but I would only replace it if it is not possible to make it flat or it is damaged.

    I have 1 which is 5 years old which I use for Nylon / TPU as it sticks so well it can damage the surface.

    The one I use daily is at least 3 years old. It has lost a bit of the surface from materials which stuck too well but is otherwise fine.

  • In case anyone else sees this type of behaviour with the bed temperatures, please turn the power off and do not use the printer unless under instruction from CEL.

    This is probably the Z height. It might be flex in the bed surface or inconsistency in the Z limit switch/spring.

    You can:

    Take the print surface out, put it on a very flat surface to check if it is flat and flex it to make it flat as needed, it is very flexible. You can buy a new one if needed.

    manual purge with TPU is probably impossible.

    Flex is just harder to use. This Polyflex is the easiest we have found by a long way.

    I went last minute this morning. They weren’t even there.

    Lots of interesting stuff, certainly worth a visit. Very heavy on SLA/SLS etc, probably 20% of the displays were metal printers or printing services.

    Had some really great meetings which we hope will result in some very cool new toys for Robox owners.

     

  • yes it will be interesting, i’m glad they saw they benefits of flexing the sheet for removal, we have been using glass in a test printer and it is VERY frustrating to get prints off. I wonder how this coating and the sheet flatness will hold up over long term use. And how much they cost 🙂

  • Grant is at TCT, he promised me a voice recording which never appeared. Chris is great at talking but it’s impossible to get him to say what I want 🙂

  • I tried to do the voice over but I can’t listen to myself while editing. Digital voice actors are stubborn but at least they say what I tell them 🙂

  • Ah i got it mixed up…So is this all true?

    E = top extruder = Material 1 = Right Nozzle (both nozzles on single material head) = Extruder 2 in Slic3r
    D = bottom extruder = Material 2 = Left Nozzle (Dual Material only) = Extruder 1 in Slic3r
