My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

A former employee of colorFabb will start a kickstarter project for a new type of 3D printer. The price is not in the same price range as the robox but the technique he uses is refreshing.

By printing at a 45 degree angle he claims the printer can print some models with overhang without support. The main advantage is that you can print continuously because the printer prints on a conveyor belt.

The kickstarter project is not live yet but here is a preview.

@microcan I moved this to other printers.

Looks very interesting. Belt looks very nice and also scary expensive 🙂

Yes the whole printer is expensive at 9 to 10 times the price of a robox. But as inspiration source I like it.

I’m pretty sure that overhang can be achieved pretty much in one direction only! But idea is brilliant! A friend of mine said that he’s going to grab heat resistant rubbery material and give it a go with his printer, too!
