@Pete which bit the surprised pigeon or the heating coffee functionality. If the later then could I also get a hot dog roasting button added 😉

I had similar issues with no GoPro. Clean install fixed me printing issues. I could not even purge without it failing.

I had another failed print this evening so I had to pause and cancel the print job. I am happy to report it does appear that the head fans are left on when the door is unlocked hot.
So hopefully this is a controlled cooldown for the head if not for safety.
I appreciate that “Safe Mode” one of Cel-robox selling points may not be popular with…[Read more]

x-rayman replied to the topic Linux users: Upgrading from 2.01.04 to 3.0.0 in the forum Software 2 months, 3 weeks ago
To chip in I had the same issue upgrading to 2.0.1.04 - AutoMaker advised of update I accepted the update but the whole package closed and nothing happened. At that time I’d also noticed that no links to URL worked from AutoMaker either. So I went to the $HOME/CEL/AutoMaker directory and ran the AutoMaker-update-linux-x64.run manually and…[Read more]

Feedback is basically:
“As far as I can see it, this would be quite hard to implement, let alone get right / understandable for the user.”
So looks like no joy there.

I could be wrong the head fans stopped at high T as well. Everything stopped and the door was unlocked.
It looks like this behaviour will happen at any point a print/purge is paused then aborted. Not certain if this is safe for the hardware - it is definitely not a controlled cool down.

Cheers Shaun (@saiken) I’ll pester them in due course. That feature would make many a bad print for want of one lifted edge a thing of the past for me.

Cheers I’ve also reported it to technical support. I can live with it I just want to make sure that the head cools properly. I think a work around is to ask it to unlock the door after it is already unlocked. I will test later.

Hmmm I’ve not altered anything and on that page it shows as being ticked. Unless ticked means off (possible).
It only happens on a pause then cancel - print.
A successful print goes through the whole cool down cycle as expected.
This has only happened since the upgrade to 3.00.00 and firmware to r753 which as you know from my previous…[Read more]

When printing a job which contains multiple parts that are being printed collectively if one fails often the whole lot needs to be cancelled and chucked. It would be nice to be able to say pause and then discard the offending print area. I’m not certain how the print job exists in the print queue when sent to the printer so this may be a stupid idea.

I’ve just sent a print job running which is basically the same shape repeated multiple times. During the print one of the shapes lifted so I paused and then aborted the print. This triggered the printer to move instantly to unlock the door and allow me access to the bed whilst it and the head was at high temp?
I’ve just done it again!
I’ve…[Read more]

One last thing - the print that just finished seems really, really good much better than the same print run a week or so ago. So I am happy.

OK I’ve given them the logs but they are not very detailed. If I’d been thinking straight I could have checked if there was the old AutoMaker locking the USB port? Not to worry at the moment it is working and I can print.
I’d like to add “FIXED” to the forum subject but does not look doable?

Cheers @bhudson
I’ve done a clean install of AutoMaker and sent a simple job to the printer and it has accepted it. I’m also in the process of submitting a support ticket I’ve kept the folder just renamed them so may help track down what happened. I’m wondering if the first instance of AutoMaker had not properly shutdown prior to the autoupdate…[Read more]

I’ve managed to send and get the printer to accept “open the door” which means it is at least cooling down now where as it was stuck in a “hot” state as far as I can tell.
FYI - I’ve never activated “Advanced mode” everything is via the normal user interface.
