has anybody else seen this advert on tv in the uk ,its one of those build you own printers over the course of so many issues (90) ,it looks like a neat little project to build don’t know if the printer will be much scratch at the end of it though

18/01/2015 at 7:38 pm #13961Yes, same here. Although I was curious what printer are they selling (in parts)?
18/01/2015 at 8:07 pm #13963i think it works out at about 630 quid ,i think the printer is called the v3
smitty19/01/2015 at 8:17 am #14009Thanks. It is nice idea, but it lasts too long (2 years). And what would we do with a second printer?
19/01/2015 at 9:41 am #14027To print new extruder feed cogs when the robox printed ones run out?
TBH I’m tempted simply to collect it as a comparison….

It is less than £300 and theoretically can print those gears (and not much more).
19/01/2015 at 4:27 pm #14103Build area is very small….

Steve N | Creator of things both virtual and physical19/01/2015 at 5:28 pm #14123@discosteve 1/3 of the price for 1/2 of volume - good value for money!

Not all prints we had are over whole print bed, nor everyone *can* use whole print bed. But smaller things can easily fit on that printer. Plus it is a ‘backup’ while Robox is down…
19/01/2015 at 5:32 pm #14125@clicky do you think its worth starting collecting the issues ,if i did id use it for doing small parts while my robox was printing something else
