Hi,
I know that gcode.ws exists however I wanted to have something offline and do something on my own, so far I am pretty happy what I got. In the attached pictures you will find the results of my script. I am still testing it and updating. I have a couple things in my mind that it can be added. Any comments will be appreciated.

Try Craftware for loading gcode offline, it’s exceptionally good for looking at GCode line by line, and there’s a live preview to the gcode text too, so you can see a problem line in the code, and relate it to the correct area. I really like it, but I do applaud your efforts. (y)

Simplify3D has a GCode Preview built in, but doesn’t always see some formats. Cura doesn’t do this at the moment in tests, although it should do. There is no reason why AutoMaker couldn’t have this either

March 29, 2018 at 10:23 am #47534Thanks for comments and links @17bt. I will check it.
So far I am happy with what I have. I can see it layer by layer as well. I could post a movie here but I think it wont fit size limitation. The reason I have written this program is to see how the support is made. I am printing models which need a support a lot of it. (a picture as an example) Therefore I am trying to reduce it as much as I can. I am using threshold angle as well I am playing with space between support. Sometimes it takes twice as much time and filament as without support.
For the long term project, I would like to go deeper and check if I will be capable to write a program that would be able to set best/optimal position to use as little support as possible. In addition, I would like to change the way the support is made. Something between Meshmixer support and slicer, cura. More dense and packed close to the wall and at least as possible between wall and bed. Just my fast thoughts…
