The sad part is that the repair would have been pretty cheap. It is amazing the number of comments on that thread that make me wonder who these people are talking to and what they are running in their heads.
To remove stuck filament on a DM head usually costs about 45.00 including return shipping in the US. Even if the head screws are all stripped and the head housing has to be replaced it would be about 65.00.
I operate two Betas and four Production Robox.
