@aidanruff yes - that’s my original idea.
@bhudson even though amount of material is not same for first and last layer - amount of travel of shuttle is same in relation to number of rotations of the reel:
number of winds/rotations of the spool per layer = reel width / 1.75mm
Length of material per wind will vary depending on radius it is wound at.
On in other words - it should travel exactly 1.75mm per reel revolution.
