Tried to make the file much smaller so I can experiment more with the settings but now the slicing fails every time!
Any ideas?

I have been using 3d Printers since the 90’s
in the Automotive & Aerospace industries!
Here is a Stainless steel watch strap example I have had since 2009 it has a wall thickness of 0.15mm is extremely strong & there is no assembly it was printed in one go, fully functional.
This is the SLS technique & is no desktop machine.
from what I have…[Read more]

Everything is working well until it gets to sat 5-7mm high then it all goes to pot.
Wall thickness is .59 mm
The profile is being followed up to 5-7mm in z then it goes to pot!
infill & support are also off so not sure why it has put 1 layer of support onto a finished layer ( honeycomb) etc.

Problems tend to be cant get a print unless you use a brim of 3mm minimum the edges curl & catch the nozzle.
When you have a large base that warrants not having a brim because the side/ external detail is intricate & will take a ling time to clean.
After about 4mm in z build the section starts to go strangedue to the build sequence not following…[Read more]

Dave
Tried those settings but after the first layer it starts shooting back and forth do a bit here & there rather than following the profile like you would expect & as a result it just breaks the layer off.
There is no support structure that was turned off brim is 5mm was going to post a video but it’s a bit big for 6 seconds 19mb
anyway why…[Read more]

Any ideas what causes this? This was done on draft quality!

Hi Dave
tweaked the settings , I don’t think my bed has been getting hot enough, also reset the head nozzle, as I took it off to clean after a bad print got material everywhere.
All cleaned, re-calibrated many times etc.
How did you get the honey comb effect? on your parts?

Great stuff Dave!
I have not been able to get any good prints off mine, had it 3 months very disappointed.
Support have offered to take it back & check it but said will give it another 2 weeks tinkering with the settings else it will go back!
One of my main issues is one of the nozzles catches the layer as it passes over & breaks it free.

Hi Guy’s
I have the same issue PEI bed was wrongly installed, so must have been like that for a while as it has set it self in a bowed state as a result.
If both sides are the same then I have turned the bed over which help somewhat but that means the edges are higher than the canter now slightly!
My main issue is getting the first layer to…[Read more]
