Hey,
I’ve fleshed out the “Things” page on Roboxing.com to include a list of Robox users on Thingiverse and MyMiniFactory, along with some Robox accessories available. I’ve added who I know is on there, but it’s not exhaustive.
Please do check out http://roboxing.com/things and add yourself to the list! Also, please do “friend” me and others on Thingiverse! I haven’t really got to grips with My Mini Factory yet.
If I’ve added your name to the page but you don’t want to be on it, please accept my apologies, and do let me know (gid@roboxing.com) or just go in and edit it yourself.
January 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm #14066@gid could you start a topic in Chatter with something like Thingiverse vs MyMiniFactory - not that much put them head to head but raise awareness and see if there’s (perceived(*)) difference between them, etc…
(*) yes I do have opinion but I suspect it is wrong and would like to hear from other
And… yes, you missed me on MyMiniFactory: http://www.myminifactory.com/users/clicky
January 19, 2015 at 1:21 pm #14073@pelgrim To get some of really nice design out of it. Or to share with the world some of yours.
January 19, 2015 at 1:35 pm #14076@clicky : for discussion and comparison, I’ve added to the existing announcement link: http://www.cel-robox.com/forums/topic/myminifactory-partners-with-cel-robox/#post-14075
Looks like you can start threads now too… I’m glad it was a glitch and not a result of being in the dog house 🙂
January 19, 2015 at 1:50 pm #14078@gid - no, still can’t. That was ‘other’ me (just followed Pete’s idea to try it from different account).
January 19, 2015 at 5:46 pm #14126@gid how do you add yourself on roboxing can’t figure out how i add my location on roboxing

January 19, 2015 at 7:26 pm #14140Hi @smitty : the link is a little difficult to find, admittedly. Register or login using the link on this page http://roboxing.com/start?do=login ; then follow the instructions on http://roboxing.com/user_locations
January 20, 2015 at 12:21 pm #14212So is the location map feature indicative of who is out there with a Robox then? I am really surprised how few and I have to say I would have hoped there would have been more activity on these forums - not having access to a Memberlist (another WordPress’ism) its difficult to tell how many people are really on here.

January 20, 2015 at 12:34 pm #14217@discosteve I bet that many Robox users are not even aware of this forum - not roboxing.com…
January 20, 2015 at 3:31 pm #14237@discosteve : The map is merely an indication of Robox users that have put themselves on the map 🙂
If Robox users choose not to use the forums, or not to use Roboxing.com, that’s totally up to them. A bit dumb, though… after a while, the experienced users are going to get rather sick of answering the same questions over and over.
January 20, 2015 at 3:33 pm #14238I just noticed that Thingiverse have opened up a new “Thingiverse Groups” feature. (Is it new, or did I merely not notice it before?)
I’ve created a Robox group: http://www.thingiverse.com/groups/robox-users so you can add yourself if you wish.
