@teleporteur you need to increase the number of solid bottom layers, or use the profile I have attached. That particular part is designed to make use of 10 solid bottom layers, so the bottom of the inner surface of the cup is printed attached to the solid base once those layers have completed. It is a special design to take advantage of spiral…[Read more]

@eddyogi Glad to hear you’ve had some success, but not yet quite there! There is certainly plenty of tweaking to be done with regards to spiral profiles - this is only the first release. The mug in the article may be hollowed out, but it is a solid model in the sense that the wall thickness is not specified…bear with me…

Chris White replied to the topic Bed levelling issues now that I have moved to nGen in the forum Technical Support 2 months, 1 week ago
@reclaimer106 you should never be able to push a gantry down, but it should move up by approximately 5mm due to the anti-backlash springs. If it is able to move down, your Robox has likely been damaged in shipping and will need to be repaired. Remember: you must have a support ticket and instructions before attempting to dismantle any part of Ro…[Read more]

@Dave glad to hear you’ve had some good results, and thanks for sharing your tips/feedback! We realise this a poorly documented and somewhat scantly implemented feature, bit the truth is it was added initially for our own benefit when creating videos/marketing materials for Robox. It was included in a stable release to let the tinkerers out there…[Read more]

Chris White replied to the topic Option to disable print time estimates in the forum Feature Request 2 months, 1 week ago
@Dave - I agree, it’s not always the best thing to pre-slice all settings, I guess we’re too used to nice i7s with 16GB… I’ve logged it as a feature request. Thanks

Chris White replied to the topic AM version for ARM CPU in the forum Feature Request 2 months, 1 week ago
@pelgrim it is already logged as a feature request, but low priority as it is only wanted by a very small percentage of our users. As @pete said, another option is coming very soon. AutoMaker has been compiled for ARM before, but many changes have been made since then and so it needs to be revisited and tested thoroughly before we can release…[Read more]

@williamha This is now resolved in AutoMaker 2.01.01 and I would strongly suggest that you upgrade - we are not aware of any feature/bug/issue which is better in 1.03 than 2.01.01. If you are still having issues with 2.01.01, please log them in the software forum so that we can determine if the software is the actual cause of your issues, or…[Read more]

Chris White replied to the topic Accurate timing please in the forum Feature Request 2 months, 1 week ago
@leeroy Thanks for the suggestion, it’s actually something we’ve been discussing in detail recently as we have made major improvements to the time estimation algorithm in AutoMaker 2.01.01 (released today). The .statistics file currently does contain the predicted duration in seconds at the end of the file under “”predictedDuration” : “. We also…[Read more]

Chris White replied to the topic Raise head when reheating nozzle in the forum Feature Request 2 months, 1 week ago
@saiken Unfortunately it’s not quite that simple - the post-processor currently just adds a ‘wait until nozzle reaches temperature’ command (M109) every time the nozzle is opened/closed and this is a standard RepRap GCode command used when you don’t want any other GCode to execute until the nozzle has reached temperature e.g. at the start of the…[Read more]
